Child Abuse Prevention Month is a time for communities to rally together to build caring connections, supportive environments, and positive experiences for children and families. During the month of April and throughout the year, individuals, families and communities can work together to prevent child abuse and neglect. Through collaboration, prevention services and supports help protect children and produce thriving families.

The California Training Institute (Caltrins) provides plenty of state and national resources, toolkits and training webinar series that can help you get involved now!

Sexual Assault Awareness Month - APRIL
The theme for Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) in April 2026 is “25 Years Stronger: Looking Back, Moving Forward”. Marking the 25th anniversary of the national campaign, this theme celebrates two and a half decades of progress in combating sexual violence while renewing the focus on prevention, supporting survivors, and building a safer, more respectful future.
