CAPSAC Pre-Conference, “You Got a Subpoena: Now What?!”

We regret to inform you that due a low registration, as well as budget and travel constraints, that the CAPSAC pre-conference has been cancelled for 2026.

If you have already registered, we will contact you to arrange a refund.

Cost: $300 APSAC/CAPSAC Members, $350 Non-members, $100 Students

Pre-Conference Description:

This program will provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the court process in cases involving child abuse, covering legal procedures, how to prepare for testimony, and the role of various professionals involved. The program aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to navigate the legal system effectively and advocate for the best interests of children.

Learning Objectives:

  • Participants will develop a better understanding of the legal process

  • Participants will be equipped to prepare and present effective testimony in child abuse cases

  • Participants will recognize the potential impact of the legal process on children and families and provide guidance on how to minimize re-traumatization during court proceedings
